How do I use your site?

We’ve tried to make it as efficient and user friendly as possible. Navigate to the image you want to post on your site and download the html code below it. You’ll have to paste it somewhere that accepts html. The image should show as soon as you refresh your browser. All sizes are in pixels.

Should I take the actual image?

As far as we are concerned you are more than welcome to liberate any of the images from Progressive Banners. Umm, just don’t take them all! All of the images are stored on our server. If you would rather store the image on your server, be our guest!

What exactly does the code say?

Two things.

1. ‘<a href=”http://www.progressivecharitysitename.com”>’ will be the destination site that anyone clicking the banner will be taken to.

2. ’src=”http://www.devtronik.com/charity-image.jpg”‘ is the source of the image. In our case, our server.

Where do you get the images from?

Some of them are designed by us, while some are given to us or found on the web.

Can I send you some images?

Yes please! If you’d like to send us images that you’ve made, intend to make or have found please email us first. There are a limited amound of sizes that are generally used on websites. We’ll send you a list first.

You have an image of mine that I want removed!

How uncharitable of you! Send us an email and we’ll take it down.

Why do you have an ad in the footer? Do you accept donations? Do you make any money on this site?

In the case that we ever bring in a cent from our ad we will donate it to charity right away. We don’t accept donations of any kind and strongly encourage you to donate your money to charity. Email us if you need some suggestions.

Why are you doing this then?

Primarily, because we believe in the promotion of progressive ideas. As web designers we feel that the power of progressive imagery needs to be further harnessed and utilized. This is our form of political action.

Do you agree with every idea that the sites you link to promote?

It would be impossible to take in every single idea that each sites puts forth. Also, we are more interested in the process of ration dialogue and debate that each organization is committed to than we are in agreeing with every single issue. Although, we’re pretty sure we’re on the same page!
